Love your site and the foodie reviews,...Hi Kevin,

Love your site and the foodie reviews,

Do you work out, to get all this food off your waist?

Have you tried this Mexican beer called "Negro Modello" ?

It's very flavorfull with notes of malt and a palate cleansing finish which I really appreciated.

Recently we brought a flight of Negro Modello and Corona beers from several vvintages and did a blind taste off in our local
trendy, gormet molecular gostronomy Taco place.

First let me tell you about the chef.

Chef Paco has been a NY staple ever since hopping the fence and gettiung to Queens illiegally. Former partnerships with the famous Panco from Queens in their eponymous Taco truck on Astoria Blvd let to a stint working with Casper the Mexican at Pancho Pancho in Woodside. This is Paco's first branch into molecular Taco's and an impressive one at that, marrying flavors from Queens, Bronx, Brooklyn and Manhatttan with a deft touch,

We did have to pay a corkage fee but it was SO worth it, our party appreciated the delicate balance and counterpoint between the two beverages. The 2015 Negro Modello was perhaps a bit young but we enjoyed the hoppy note that highlighted the subtle undertones of the taco.

Later in the meal, a friend had brought along a nice treat that we all shared and the gracious owner, knowing that we are distingused food bloggers, waived the corkage,

We opted for the fois and beluga off menu appetizer and it appealed, I really appreciated the deliate balance between the earthy fois and the saline beluga.

The 2015 Coor lite was delicate on the palate with notes of Colorado mountains and a subtle follow through of sunlight, which I really appreciated and it danced on my palate.

Given the space and the trendy location in Forest Hills Queens, this Taco truck is one to watch. Watch it move when too long on a no parking zone and the deft touches that Panco applies to the wheel, along with quality local, farm to table sourcing, this is one to watch.Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8667271330300336985.post-5239699504704080892015-06-24T19:25:01.741-07:002015-06-24T19:25:01.741-07:00I dunno what happened there. I definitely think it's one of the best in Pasadena.kevinEatshttps://www.blogger.com/profile/13874030588556187843noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8667271330300336985.post-91703600543639398652015-06-22T07:36:03.990-07:002015-06-22T07:36:03.990-07:00I did not care for my sole experience at Racion at...I did not care for my sole experience at Racion at all. We ordered about 6 dishes. The fish was either previously heavily frozen (rubbery texture) or just plain bad quality. The octopus dish (different from yours) was really salty. I can't even remember the other 3 dishes my wife and I had but we were not impressed at all. Just chalked it up to another bad mid range restaurant in Pasadena.

Maybe I'll have to revisit it again sometime, but I know K (wife) definitely won't come with me.
