However, TRASH IS ALWAYS TRASHY, can never leap out of its class. Personally, I won't spend luxurious money to eat trash.
ps. the foie gras is dissappointing, since the backround heavy sweet and meaty taste has buried the original taste of the liver. This proves that the animal chef cannot make a good dish with high class ingredients. For those of people who think they are getting "the best food in the world" from animal, I seriously doubt the class of their tongue.londonerchambernoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8667271330300336985.post-53302809779150014132009-10-03T16:14:45.942-07:002009-10-03T16:14:45.942-07:00Danny: Good eating with you. When are we going to see your report from Au Pied de Cochon?

Weezer: Our server actually referred to the poutine as chili cheese fries heh. ;) You do need to get the foies next time though.

Jo: Yes, I know. I should've dropped your name regarding the bacon ice cream!

HC: You know, going into Animal, I thought it'd be overly heavy, but it actually wasn't that bad. I could've eaten a Double-Double afterwards. ;)

Wesley: Great minds...

Ann: Believe me, if only the croquettes were on the menu--I would've been all over 'em!

Aaron: And when will this illustrious return be? How were you able to try the dishes without going to the restaurant? Guess it goes on the list for my illustrious return to LA.

Although I haven't actually been there, I've had their kimchi pork belly and bacon crunch bar. Both were good, but come on, it's pork belly...and pork belly. I have heard raves about the quail. This is the first photo I've actually seen of it.Aaronhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/11416750618176810371noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8667271330300336985.post-53913397045033414412009-10-02T11:24:29.960-07:002009-10-02T11:24:29.960-07:00Nice reporting. The story behind the restaurant is interesting.

We ate here about a month ago because we saw the show, "The Best Thing I Ever Ate with Bacon." We enjoyed the food. Next time you've gotta try the pig tail croquettes with pickled onion aioli.

Notes at: menutaster.yelp.comMenu Tasterhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/16402999693478226713noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8667271330300336985.post-38593272698719718482009-10-01T19:33:52.292-07:002009-10-01T19:33:52.292-07:00Man our flavor profiles are pretty similar. I also love that many of their wines are available as carafes -- for those moments when a glass doesn't seem enough and a bottle, too much.H.
